2020 taught me to behave like a chameleon

Enough said about 2020. Done with looking back to the past. 2021, please treat us well! After a few busy months with an exam and a demanding work schedule, I am currently building up my training hours to get ready for my first full distance triathlon (Ironman Hamburg).

The first real post race feeling of the year!

Last year, I never expected to be this happy after finishing a triathlon, shorter than a half distance. Short distance racing has never been my favourite. I always struggle with going all-out and I rather prefer the more comfortable zone. However, as all my long-distance triathlon are cancelled this year, I am more than happy with racing a shorter distance. The Corona crisis puts everything in perspective and makes us thankful for the things we can do. I still remember the first time going out for sushi after the lockdown. Things that used to be normal, can feel super special these days.

One step closer: an update on my training progress

Now offseason is officially over and my first running race of the year is coming up on Sunday, it is time to give an update on how my road to the World Championships is progressing. I am happy to say that, thanks to my sponsors, I am writing this blog while looking at my newest asset! Yes yes, it did happen! I am the proud owner of my first Time Trial Bike.
