The season 2019 rollercoaster

Now that the season is over and I had some time to focus on other stuff and overthink my results, it is time to do a recap. A lot of things happened this year, both triathlon and non-triathlon wise. This blog contains the highest highs and lowest lows and some stuff in between I like sharing.  And as the title of this blog tells, it has been a hell of a rollercoaster! Glad I love Walibi World and therefore love to ride a rollercoaster :)

Ironman 70.3 Zell am See 2019: Dreams come true!

Last year, Ironman 70.3 Zell am See did not go as planned. I was in doubt whether I should go for revanche (check my other blog post for the details). In my mind, I had several negative thoughts back to the day. Would I be able to replace these with happiness? This would be an additional challenge for me besides completing a half distance triathlon. But as ambitious as I am, I decided to give it a shot! Would Zell 2019 be worth it? At least swimming in a beautiful lake between the mountains is always special at first.

2018: What should have been the year of my first half triathlon

Feels a bit strange writing a blog long after the event took place. But this race needs special attention since it was one of the building blocks of my triathlon road. By this race, I mean Ironman 70.3 Zell am See 2018. I already mentioned this race at my home page and, for the strangers and non-triathlon addicts, the race might need some more explanation. This race should have been my first half triathlon of my life! I had been looking forward to it for almost half a year. I did spend a lot of time and money preparing for it.
